The U.S. is supposedly a democracy but yet we have always been ruled by corrupt political families ( the Roosevelts, Bushes, Kennedys, Clintons etc.) much like an heir to the throne in a monarchy. Ex: He is against abortion so I'll vote for the other guy. Another example, a voter may vote against their governor because a certain member of their party likes to flirt w/ male pages. Is there a procedure if you are stopped 3 minutes apart by 2 troopers and receive the same ticket,no insurance

I was on I-65N coming from Alabama to North Carolina and I was stopped twice by state troopers. The first time I was speeding so I had reason to be pulled over and get a ticket for speeding and having no insurance. The second time I was pulled over for nothing and received the same ticket for driving without insurance. What was wierd about the whole thing was that I was pulled over within 3 minutes of just being pulled over by another state trooper. I am in the process of getting liability right now but I feel I should not have to pay for 2 having no insurance tickets, in the same state and the 2 interactions with the state troopers not even a mile apart. Well I have never been pregnant but my mom always tells me that your period sometimes fluctuates. I sometimes get nervous too about having my period but eventually I get. Once in a while my period will skip a month or it will come a few days late. If you were pregnant, your hormones are still probably raging and need time to get back to normal. Just give it some time but if you are very worried about it I would suggest consulting your doctor about it.

Social anxiety and high school, not sure if i can do it?

so I'm 15 and in 9th grade and in the middle of 8th grade i left my school to do online schooling. i had missed quite a bit of school before then from grade 1-8 because of my anxiety, social anxiety, and depression. so in the middle of 8th grade i got swine flue and no one really believed me, and some one had told me, my anxiety got so bad about thinking all these people we're talking about me so i started online. so this year around Christmas i kind of had a break down (bad depression, couldnt eat, had panic attack, crying all the time, etc.) and realized my public highschool would be in my best interest, so i decided i needed to transfer.the problem is i'm going back in a few day or a week and i'm really scared to see these people again, and dont know what to say if they ask why i left or confront me. oh also i only told and stayed in touch with one person from that school. and i'm just very terrified to go to the high school, any help would be greatly appreciated :).... also should i go this monday or next. cause i want to make friends soon as i really have none since i left my middle school and my birthday is in july and i dont want to have another crappy birthday with just family. especially on my 16th.

Depression Help?

I know it's not true, but sometimes i doubt that god exists because my past was painfull with my parentsy breaking up and being abused by my mothers ex-boyfreind, who had my little sister with my mom, and he threatens my family constantly to kill us. My dad has smoked pot for years. (He doesn't know I know and he's not a bad person.) Now, i'm a 13 year old kid who lives with my grandparents and brother and we're swimming in financial debt. At least 5 times i've had to move and leave my friends to never see them again and my house is for sale again. I've almost got killed in a drive by shooting also. My past sucked and so does my present. Now it seems as though my future isn't going to be much better either. I'm depressed all the time and it's hard not to let my friends see it. I don't know what to do. Help!

Why do I have menopause bleeding?

About 2 months ago after peeing when I wiped myself I saw blood, only a small amount, since then I haven't seen anymore, although I did have a cervical biopsy, and an ultrasound already I am still concerned what the 1 time showing of blood could possibly meant. I have not have a period in more than 5+ years now, still going through menopause (hot flashes etc!) Could the blood someway ociate itself with menopause?

Help with car brakes?

This happens is when it's cold outside usually. When I put the brake on, instead of the car stopping smoothly it stops abruptly making the entire car jolt almost. I definitely jolt in my seat. It'll keep doing that until the car is fully warm. Even afterwards I hear the back brakes almost like they're dragging? I don't know if that's the word. I'll step on the brakes slowly and I'll hear the back brakes making this weird noise. The only way I can explain is you know when you're on a bike on a gravel road and you put the brakes on but the bike sometimes still skids on the gravel...that's what it sounds and feels like but the car stops no problem. It's making me paranoid. I've had all the oils and fluids changed and new brake pads about a year ago. What could this be and how do I explain to a mechanic?? I drive a 99 Chev Cavalier

I have naturally brown eyes and blonde hair but people tell me that is impossible?

People tell me that I am fake because my eyes are brown and my hair is blonde. I have had numerous people tell me to stop lying because it is impossible for the allele of blonde hair to match up with brown eyes. I swear it is natural on me and I have pictures from when I was little to prove it. My hair is much darker now but it is still blonde. My eyes have a dark dark green ring around them but it is nearly impossible to see even up close. They range from almost black to honey yellowish brown in different lighting and sometimes the green comes out a bit but very rarely. Most people don't even believe i even have any green in them. Last night the upper part of my legs felt very sore, like I had worked out hours or something. I ignored it (it was more uncomfortable than anything) and went on to bed. This morning when I woke up the felling returned. I have not done anything out of the ordinary that would cause me to be sore like this nor have I exercised more than usual. It is both of my legs and sometimes down to my calf. It feels like I am very sore. It is uncomfortable to stand or stretch but if I'm sitting down then I am ok. Has this happened to anyone before?

im so unhealthy, i used to be 150ishy pounds when i started h/s and then my boyfriend of two years, cheated on me w/ my "best friend" and my grandpa died && my father was sent to iraq not once, twice in less than three years, during those three years, at the middle of my senior year i weighed a whoppin 250pds! im stuck at a rut and i cant seem to get myself down to the 150pds i desire so badly! i work odd shifts, i never get to go home when my shift ends, i usually end up having to work an extra two hours and when i get home im tired & its usually late, around 10pm and i usually have to get up around 9 to get ready to head off to work, i dont have a big yard, im surrounded by neighbors, walkin on the road wouldnt be safe, i get one day off during the week and its usually a tuesday. i need things to do to help me loose weight. also i have hormonal imbalance && i dont have periods, i used to have pills i had to take but i stopped taking them (im goin to get put back on them soon!

There is two kinds of mange, one it takes a few weeks to clear up and the other kind months. You have to have a vet take a skin scraping to tell you which it is. I've never heard of hereditary mange,and I've never heard of flea shampoo to clear it up. I've heard of medicated baths. for mange. Is it possible to have kenwood matsui oven?

My landlord is away so one of his workers has arranged to replace my oven. The oven says kenwood on the door but there is a matsui label inside. The grill pan did not fit, I pointed this out but they claimed it was the right one. It has to sit on the shelf below it. well last nite i finally put my son in his cot in his own room (he out grew the binet in my room) and it was so hard to do that because before i could just put my hand over the binet to feel if he was breathing (sids worrys me). my daughter still sleeps in my bed and she is 2, this started because when she was born she just screamed 24/7 and the only way to stop it was to let her sleep with me because i was living with other people and couldnt be rude by keeping them up all nite. ive told her that now blade is sleepin in his big boy room that she needs to sleep in her big girl bed but she just keeps walkin out and staring at me, i put her back in but she comes back out. i cant have her walking out of her room and into the lounge room when i am in bed because she will send the alarm off. how can i get her to stay in there and sleep in her own bed? i refuse to shut the door on her as i think it is cruel. thanx in advance

I did stages 1 and 2 of Atkins diet. It worked really well, I actually had a ton of energy, my acne cleared up, and I lost 12 lbs. But I started eating a few refined carbs this week (yes I know it was stupid) and now I feel sluggish and tired, and my skin is breaking out. I'm having a hard time figuring out how atkins works for my body, but I think it has something to do with low glycemic index foods. ETOPS vs. Non-ETOPS Route Question?

It's my understanding that in order to make long distance flight more economical, ETOPS was developed to allow twin engine planes to fly very long distances, but they still have to maintain a safe distance from any airport that they must make a single engine landing at from what is considered safe by industry standards and practical in terms of flight times. Large veins on the backside of my hands?

There are times, though not constantly, that the veins on my hands are huge! It's not a stressed out thing or extremely hot temps necessarily when I notice it. I have noticed this on older folks, but I'm only 56. I do have borderline high blood pressure & not on any meds. It seems to be more on my left hand than my right, but definetly on both. They are so large I can see where they lead to my fingers & down my wrist. They actually cast a shadow in the right light. Where should we go for an October honeymoon?

Tobago is great, its pretty small though but still has good resturants and things to do. I visited in June/July which is low season there in terms of tourists. It was relatively quiet, the beaches weren't crowded and on boat trips we were often the only ones on them. Theres plenty of little stalls selling lovely shells etc and the fresh fruit is amazing. There is also a good shopping mall and you can take a tour in the rainforest. The beaches have plently of watersports available and there are trips to see wild dolphins and turtles. Lots of tropical fish and coral, snorkling is excellent, sea is warm.

I'm not bonding with my adopted baby?

I adopted a baby 2 weeks ago and am having a hard time attaching to him as well as it seems like he has a hard time attaching to me. He is 1 y.o. He is not responding to cuddles, playing, reading books and pointing on objects. He has a blank stare or crawls away from me. He also eats so much (like 20 bottles of formula a day plus solids) and will scream very loud until I feed him to the point he is so full that he is spitting food and can't eat any more. Frustration with a studio?

so i dance at a dance studio in michigan. our studio is putting on a xmas show on sunday and for this one dance, we had to get fleeces from old navy. this past weekend my mom sister and i were at old navy, saw them , and bought them for bout $9. the studio wanted us to pay $18 for the same fleeces. well the instructor for this dance found out my mom and us purchased them ourselves and while she was waiting in the lobby for us to finish rehersal, the instructor went up to her, and in front of everyone in the studio, yelled at my mom because she "didnt have the right to go out and buy them" she went on and on about this in front of everyone in the studio. when we were done our mom told my sister and i. now in this show, we are performing the nutcracker. i am the nutcracker. i dont think it is right for the instructor to yell at my mom who has been with this same studio for 17 years (since my sister and i were 3). i was wondering if i can get some feedback on what i should do about this situation. my opinion is to tell the instructors on thursday (my next cl) that i will not be doin the nutcracker this weekend and i think my mom deserves an apology for the way she yelled at my mom. thank you for your suggestions

From Cancun to Venezuela you're my hero I always wanted to do that but never had the courague to. I have only been up to Panama City and thats it. I would recommend a light back pack because it is very very hot in that area and I would not recommend sleeping bags or any sleep material because odds are you will stay in doors to sleep. If you ever end up sleeping out doors sleep in the plazas since they are safer or near a police station. Good luck on your journey I envy you. Take the lightest backpack possible.
