Spppannnnnnishh! i don't know what to do about the preterite and imperfect!?
Okay, the preterit and the imperfect isn't actually too difficult to use. There's only one major difference you need to pay attention to. Anything that has specific timing needs the preterit. For example, say: At sundown, we would walk to the mountain. That needs the preterit, it gives a certain time. Now, say: We walked to the mountain. That needs the imperfect, because we know it happened but we don't know exactly when. Believe me, it's not the easiest thing in the world to figure out, but practice makes perfect, just use your judgement.
