How come atheism will never overtake religion ever, even if humanity went on for millions of years?

they did and again they will- thousands and thousands of people are realizing how fake religion is. half of 'em let go of religion including christian of course(they don't want to be recognize as religion) but they still believe that there is a creator out there and any invented religion/belief/faith out there are unnecessary.
