How do i get et acceptance llc. off my back when the debt they are trying to collect never existed?

They are trying to collect $1700 from me for alltell phone company. I contacted their cooperate office and they say i do not nor have i ever owed them any money!! Alltell sent me a letter to this effect and I forwarded it to et acceptance but they keep harring me anyways...
