I am 13 years old and I don't want to dress up for halloween but my family says i have to?

I really just want to wear skinny jeans my ugg boots and a t shirt with a hoodie.. but they say i can not do that! do you think that i can just wear a mask with it and make it work.?? cuz i have to wear something for halloween
