In what ways is Hamlet NOT a tragic hero and WHY?

well, hamlet brought everything upon himself as he always had a choice. i do not believe that he foresaw or understood his doom, you could make the argument that he does not suffer more than he deserves, his fate was not discovered by his own actions but through others (laertes and claudius). Therefore this makes him responsible.
