My snakes mouse keeps getting wet when thawing?

evrytime i thaw a \mouse for my cali king snake it gets wet, water leaks through the bag, the mouse gets soggy, will that afffects wether eats alot??? im sur it will, but it keeps turning it down, is that because the mouse gets wet?
